Fashion and fabric design

The projects seeks to recycle fabrics and convert them into new forms of art. I used fabric paint, bleach and a sewing machine to create patterns on old fabrics.  The idea of recycling is to keep materials  “circulating” for as long as possible by finding new uses, the “circular” pattern on the fabric conveys this idea.

 

scraps of denim were used to make these two clothing designs. I used dress making paper to sketch the shape of the garments to ensure symmetry and apply my body measurements, I assembled the garments using a domestic sewing machine.
